A Wake-Up Call for Teen Drivers
This April, during Distracted Driving Awareness Month, LaBovick Law Group and its nonprofit initiative Safety 4 Life launched a gripping campaign aimed at tackling one of the most pressing threats facing teen drivers—distracted driving.
Featuring a live car crash reenactment, the campaign is more than just a demonstration—it’s a life-saving wake-up call for teens across South Florida, many of whom are preparing for prom, graduation, and summer break.
“The sirens, crushed metal, stillness after impact—it’s not just a scene. This powerful reenactment helps teens make safer choices,” said Brian LaBovick, founder of LaBovick Law Group and co-founder of Safety 4 Life.
From Courtroom to Classroom
After representing families affected by devastating crashes for over 30 years, Brian and Esther LaBovick knew they had to do more than fight legal battles. They turned their personal mission into a movement—Safety 4 Life.
Their hands-on programs bring essential lessons to teens at just the right time:
- 🚗 Live crash reenactments that simulate the aftermath of distracted driving
- 🛑 Safety Fairs with interactive exhibits and prevention tools
- 🎓 School assemblies and workshops that educate and engage
- 🏫 Community events across Palm Beach and Martin Counties
Why It Matters Now
Summer marks the beginning of what’s known as the 100 Deadliest Days—the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when fatal crashes involving teen drivers spike dramatically.
According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, more than 7,000 people died in teen driving-related summertime crashes from 2010 to 2019. The top contributing factor? Distractions—from texting to social media use while driving.
This campaign is strategically timed to help teens understand that what may feel like a split-second glance at a phone can turn into a lifelong consequence.
Personal Mission. Local Impact.
“We’ve raised our children here. This is personal to us,” said Esther LaBovick, who leads the group’s outreach efforts.
Thousands of students have already participated in Safety 4 Life programming, many of them stating that the experience changed the way they approach driving. The impact goes beyond statistics—it’s about saving lives, one decision at a time.
